Re: Rookie contracts

This season, my first round draft pick, Stevie Wolarski , wanted a major league contract to sign with the Kernels. I offered him a 3 year contract and he signed. My question is, what is the maximum years I can sign a rookie player to? :headscratch: They probably wouldn't want more than 3 since that...

Decent 6-3 sim for Seattle. We split against Calgary; I was hoping to win the series and put some distance between us, but I can't complain.

Awful luck for Long Beach. Very happy with our sim, we went 8-2 and outscored our opponents by 45 runs. Let's see if we can keep this up.

Re: 2013, Sim #5 Chatter

I was writing my series recap and I saw this game's boxscore and game log. Somehow we got the leadoff man on base EIGHT TIMES IN NINE INNINGS and only scored one run. I'm not sure how that happens, but I figured it was worth noting.

The 2013 draft recently concluded, and with their first pick (21st overall) the Storm selected starting pitcher Kyle Moore . Moore represents a bit of a gamble by Seattle, because there is no question that Moore is years away from contributing in the MBBA. Despite that, the Storm werntrigued by Moor...

Thanks! I just went through and picked out who I'll write about for each remaining team in the league. Some teams had a bunch of good players to write about and some teams (Louisville) only had popular players who were actually good, which I didn't like at all.

Seattle has a 2-7 sim and we're still in first. I'm starting to think that this team just isn't that great.

Re: Analysis of the 2013 MBWBA Amateur Draft's First Round

[hr] 21. SP Kyle Moore (Seattle): This is one of our favorite picks of the draft because Moore is very, very developed at age 18, throws very hard for anybody, even moreso for a teenager, and has fine intangibles. His ceiling isn't bad as it is, but guys who have figured out that much at age 18, we...
