Re: 2012 Hall of Fame Ballot
I never count all star games in my analysis on if a player should be in the hall. Elections would mean one thing, but since half the team is selected by one person, that waters down the value tremendously (See Hinson, Riley). :plus1: I don't even look at the AS game appearance column. I don't care ...

Re: That's What Cheesehead: 12.21 - Wolves Shock Mounties
These are the kind of series that make the game awesome and at the same time terrible. All day yesterday I was so insanely grumpy. I really, really wanted one last Landis for this group.

Ayala was pretty amazing this season. I'm hoping he falls on his face this postseason.

Re: Urban to hit the market
Is Rowland really playing SS? I'd flip him and Pruitt. Pruitt will be miles better at SS then him once he builds up that experience.

2012 #24 Sim 19
Pitcher of the sim: SP Robbie Sargent 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA in 8.2 IP with 8 K's to go against 1 walk. So close to a complete game but the manager wisely decided at this point in the season it wasn't worth risking our ace. Batter of the sim: 3B Duncan Harvey .385 avg in 13 AB's with 2 homeruns and 3 R...

Re: You Win! I Win! We Both Win!
FWIW Aicon still scares me. His movement sits at 5 which is just not good enough to be a top flight starter. See Charlie Schaffer.

Re: Go Mounties
Thanks. I was hoping to see you on here at some point. Its been a great couple of seasons but this might be the last hoorah. Newhouse is a potential free agent and he wants superstar money again at age 38. I feel I pretty much have to sign him to keep him in Mountie colors but its gonna require tra...

I see. Is it possible you both can lose and I get a 1st round bye? That'd be cool.

Re: WHIV 2012 Vol. 12- Pitching staff youth movement
Also when Al, when you and I stink the EBA wont have as many juicy players either. I think my delaying of the Vancouver tear down has worked out in another post season chance but I am almost completely devoid of young talent. When I go down, I'm going to the bottom. I won't have much choice.

Re: 2012 #23 Sim 18
On further review, I have the luxury of not really having to mess with my rotation much. My top 3 are set to go in the next 3 games and will be rested once the playoffs begin.

Re: Why the league salary cap is too low...or: I am screwed
In past versions of OOTP where the bullpen AI was a bit wonky, I can see the value in having that many "ace" relievers. Now that we have more control, its not quite as big of a deal. As long as you have a stud closer and 1 or good setup men, you are fine scraping the rest together on league minimum ...

Tanking alert?! I kid, I kid. But in all seriousness you are the poster child this year for teams that are getting screwed by the new draft order rules.

Re: Why the league salary cap is too low...or: I am screwed
In right up to the cap too. Next season im at the cap and that is without resigning Newhouse which is something I feel I almost have to do. So im tearing down a bit as well. Personally I do think the cap is a tad low but nobody is gonna believe that til they get hosed by it. A big, big part of your ...
