Re: 2028.02 - "France cannot be France without greatness."
Rodriguez actually looks like a pretty good comp for ratings v LHP. He's got a .776 career OPS v LHP. So I will concede that it's possible that Lacaze can maintain a .700 OPS in the MBBA, but that's assuming no lumps. I think that's reasonable. If he goes like you think he may, he's a solid MBBA pl...

Re: 2028.02 - "France cannot be France without greatness."
How often do you judge careers on 94 ABs? I stand by the .650-.700 OPS v. LHBs in the MBBA and the fact that his glove and legs will be impossible to adequately replace with a platoon option. I agree with the glove and legs part. Will be interesting to see if he improves against lefties his final 2...

Re: 2028.02 -
I'll search the MBBA CFs later, but this guy has a .713 OPS against EBA pitching this year. He's absolutely a platoon bat in the MBBA. What about his defense? Isn't it good enough to ignore the platoon? Sure, he'll be sub 100 OPS+ wise, but if he's bring good or better defense, do you live with it ...

Re: 2028.02 - "France cannot be France without greatness."
Yeah, I know we still have a way to go. His numbers are off the charts though and I wanted to bring some attention to it. Without doing a ton of research, I'd say if he keeps it up for the next 2 years, I'd think he has a chance to be an All-Star. Maybe not perennial, but a couple. Again, it could b...

Re: PP Reward: The Basics
I may continue to do it then. Tweet out my team news, maybe important things that happened during the sim. Easy PP's I can do from my phone. If in anyone wants to get back into it, my league handle is MBMWA_parispats. EDIT: Won't be posting nonsense. Well, not random nonsense. It'll be league nonsen...

Re: PP Reward: The Basics
Do tweets still get you PP's? I only ask because other teams I found don't seem to do it often or haven't very recently. I started one up and followed all the league teams I could find. Also, if so, should I use #mbba or #mbwba? I used both plus #eba just in case, but figured it was written in the c...

Re: 2028.02 - "France cannot be France without greatness."
Does a players scouting report change once they jump to the MBBA? For example, now it says he's a star but is that taking into account he's in the EBA? Will it change to saying "he could be a regular contributor" or "solid player" instead of becoming a star once he makes the jump?

Re: 2028.02 - "France cannot be France without greatness."
Looking at Salazer's MBBA, who was a great EBA player, the slash I predicted probably isn't too far off. AVG probably not as high as I'd think but probably 50-100 points lower OPS wise. My guess anyway.

Re: 2028.02 -
I hadn't really thought of that. I just meant in general his contact ability isn't stellar. Its good and sure he will put up gawdy numbers in the EBA but over in the big leagues it'll be a different story. Still, he will be a valuable player and he will 100% for sure get poached as soon as he is el...

Re: 2028.02 - "France cannot be France without greatness."
Yeah, I guess that's what he would be in the big leagues, maybe a 4 tool. I see that. But right now in the EBA, he is a 5 tool.bschr682 wrote:4.5 tool player in my opinion...

2028.02 - "France cannot be France without greatness."
Is Jean-Luc 'Wall' Lacaze having the greatest season in EBA history? Looking at his numbers and how dominant he has been this season as a complete player, I think its hard to dispute that he isn't. Through 93 games, he has a hefty .356/.467/.656 batting line with 26 HR's and 75 RBI's to go along wit...

2028.01 - "Paris ain't much of a town."
Nobody is sure why Matthaus Hoffmann Jr. decided to make a General Manager (GM) change just after the seasons midpoint. With the Paris Patriots in 1st place, and probably the best team in the EBA, assistant GM Rick Boulton seemed to be doing just fine. The roster was a good mix of EBA and MBBA veter...
