Re: PLEASE VOTE: Designated Hitter
Late to the party, but I agree that OOTP works better with a DH - there just aren't enough managorial settings to allow the correct utilization of in-game strategy regarding pinch hitters, runners, etc. when simming games. It is bad enough that bullpen usage is a crapshoot half the time, I'd rather ...

Re: New Applicant - Kyle Stever
I think it is a good deal for both as well. Toronto needs forwards and Philly needed a d-man. Toronto is talking about trying to make JVR a centre this year. Don't think that is going to work.... we'll see. I had heard that as well and agree it won't work. Honestly, he probably isn't really first l...

Re: Jays at it again...
He is supposed to be a real players manager who doesn't put up with too much BS. So you're saying his hiring on the day that the Reyes to Toronto trade was officially accepted by the league is no coincidence then? ;) I'm glad to see the Jays making these moves. I'll always have a soft spot for them...

Re: New Applicant - Kyle Stever
haha...My Leafs are so sad that even MacArthur get's some 1st and 2nd line minutes!! The Flyers have some nice young players. Luke Schenn will benefit from being out of Toronto as well. He likes to play a more Flyers type of game. Likewise I believe JVR will have more success in Toronto than Philly...

Not if Fehr has a say in it - apparently.recte44 wrote:What's this "hockey" you guys are talking about? Didn't they used to have a professional league? I forget.

Re: New Applicant - Kyle Stever
Welcome. I agree it's a shame a guy like Pronger will no longer play, however I always find it interesting to hear people's different interpretations of an incident in sports. It was Mikhail Grabovski that hit Pronger's eye. I remember it well. Certainly not a star, but hardly a "plugger". Grabovsk...

Re: New Applicant - Kyle Stever
Pronger and MacInnis were really something back in the day! The combination of Pronger and Niedermayer single-handedly made both JS Giguere look like a NHL caliber goaltender and the Ducks a cup winning team, too. Also, I can't confirm this offhand, but I'm pretty sure he is the only player to part...

Re: New Applicant - Kyle Stever
As long as you're not a Penguins fan I'm sure we can work out some sort of truce. :P Pronger was an absolute pleasure to watch in O+B - probably one of the most enjoyable players to don the uniform in my lifetime (only 24 years), honestly - and that was only for, really, 1.5 seasons. It is a damn sh...

Re: New Applicant - Kyle Stever
Ah, that is actually good news for me - it is the one portion of the constitution I was "iffy" about. For your reference it is presented in GM section 7: participation as a link.
