Omaha front office not concerned with YS9 Hot Start?(38.50)
Editors Note: Obviously this all fun and nonsense...I am scared shitless of Ron. According to buzz around the great state of Nebraska, the Omaha front office not only has denied that the recent transactions have been a result of the Yellow Springs Nine hot start, but they have flat out said that Ye...

Re: Financial Rebuild 1.5
Your doing some good things for sure. One of the key things I was able to do when I started was clear the books, while only being willing to take on a bad contract if it A. Saved me money in the long term. Or B. Brought in a prospect in addition to the "popular player" and his contract but not would...

Re: 9-News: 38.043 – Is McNeill Back?
I think it's safe to say he never really left, but instead simply checked out for a season. I think his .474 average in high leverage situations alone is top notch and something that shouldn't be overlooked.

Omaha makes a flurry of trades (38.49)
The injury bug has hit the Omaha clubhouse hard over the past few weeks with the club first losing Manuel Orozco , and then losing Carson Stoller not even a week later. They lost Orozco for the rest of the year, while Stoller is expected to miss 2 months minimum. That left the front office scramblin...

Omaha's first 4 draft choices reviewed(38.48)
After several years of selecting each round’s first half in the beginning of the 2030’s, Omaha has found itself over the past 5 years to be selecting near the end of at least in the mid 20’s. With that, comes some finesse, as Omaha doesn’t have the best history of drafting as shown in the “” discuss...

Re: Crusaders Looking to Add 5.1 Million in Salary
I thought there was language in the Constitution that said something about the Commish taking action if a team didn't get back under the cap after a certain number (1 or 2) of sims. Didn't see it when I checked today though. TLDR: It's a hard cap. Certainly isnt in there. Not asking for a rule chan...

Re: Crusaders Looking to Add 5.1 Million in Salary
I wrote a good bit of the current constitution and thought that it covered the bases properly for the intent of a hard cap. I wasn't aware there was an oversight in its text relative to its intent until you brought it up. The language makes me believe it wasnt "missed as a "loophole" and was intent...

Re: Crusaders Looking to Add 5.1 Million in Salary
On this same note, it all started when I asked for possible bonus fund uses. For a team like me, and several others if I have $50,000,000 in revenue annually and can only hold $40,000,000 in bonus funds then something has to give because I cap out literally in 2 seasons. I would suggest finding new ...

Re: Crusaders Looking to Add 5.1 Million in Salary
I assume this has been in the constitution for many many years(if not since the beginning of the league) but find it funny we are just now debating it because I brought up the fact that it could be pushed a bit, and then proceeded to push it a bit.

Re: Crusaders Looking to Add 5.1 Million in Salary
Regarding the time thing, I don't have game access during the work day (or even at home now until I get good Wi-Fi), but I absolutely have the forums and HTML on my computer while I am sitting at my desk all day. That is how Brett got interested in the league, asking me one day "what the hell is th...

Re: Crusaders Looking to Add 5.1 Million in Salary
I'm under the cap now so it doesnt really matter...however as I stated in the media guide, raise your ****ing ticket prices and make a higher profit. I had a super low fan interest a few years ago and raised my prices and drew fewer fans, but made more money...sign a player with high popularity and ...

Re: Montreal/Omaha
Yep. Omaha was $6M over last sim, so they've already been accounted with $1.1M in fines. Running a little over cap and burning bonus funds is workable plan, but it can't be run for very long. It's not the best way to use your bonus funds... And a majority of the league doesn't have a gajillion $ of...

For what its worth... Chavez just was traded...and Anderson is released so that leaves me under the cap.

Re: Montreal/Omaha
I haven't seen anyone really tinker with this since I've been here so I guess I'll be the hamster on the wheel testing it out as far as the impact it could have on finances. For what its worth I spent $63,000,000 on IFA during the offseason so already needed to plan on a bit of my bonus money to eve...

Re: Montreal/Omaha
First off, I want to make it clear I don't think Justin is doing anything wrong. The rules are what they are. I'd just make an argument that the rules about being over the cap aren't harsh enough. Justin will pay something like 4.6 mil this sim if I did the math right. You could do that 8 or nine s...

Re: Montreal/Omaha
Is this deal even legal with how far over cap omaha is/will be? For what its worth, Anderson is on waivers and Chavez probably will be as well...and besides, Omaha had $53,000,000 in profit last year so my bonus funds are full so if I have to pay the fine a sim or two until I figure out how to mane...
