SIM #12 Chatter
...make an all out effort to win the next 2-3 titles and worry about 2007 in 2007? Careful. Obviously different starting points, but that's what I said before 2003...little did I know 2007 was on its way early. I'm all in this year and next year. Unless I have 2 or 3 career ending injuries, I can s...

SIM #12 Chatter
Another decent sim in new Orleans. Now that I got McKinney, as long as my aging pitching staff can hold it together I should be good to go until september!

Fantasy Baseball
I am open to joining a fantasy league. I usually don't play as baseball seems to require a daily commitment (as compared to football), but it could be fun to join a league that is active!

New Orleans / Washington
New Orleans Sends SP Jerome Powell to Washington for 1B Neil McKinney $9,500,000 Sim instructions, please place McKinney on active roster. I have demoted Valentine to AAA to make room on the roster. Big move here! New Orleans picks up a slugging 1B which is exactly what they wanted. Someone to prote...

Re: Contract Question
Yes. Well, yes, but . . . If you waive and DFA him, he will have to be reassigned when his DFA time is up. The simmer (Matt) will reassign him to AAA or release him if he refuses the assignment. Thanks Joe! But I can leave him on waivers right? Say I assigned him to active roster or AAA? Waivers wi...

Re: Contract Question
I think you will find you will be responsible for eating the contract out of your cash. If claimed, you get off scott free. I am curious as to how Option years are handled.... That's what I thought. I'm not that confident someone will pick him up though. If you dont want him...no harm in trying to ...

2004 All-Star Voting and Game
New Orleans has the best bullpen in the fl (by era) yet nobody on the squad. So sad.

Re: New Orleans/ Greenville Trade
Holy crap! How have I not heard of John Corn before, and why has he been sitting on a bench for 7 years???? I dont know...he has had his chances and hasnt made anything of them. 422 career games. .280 average. 10HRs 100 RBI. Just not producing. Great potential, decent ratings...but just cant put it...

Re: The Walkoff Watch 2004: Sim #9
I just went back to see who the NO hero was (since i was 1-3, with no listed hero). Turns out I won on an error!

2004 All-Star Voting and Game
I get the desire to have one's own players voted into the all star game but some of the homer votes are getting a bit rediculous. eh. True...but that's okay in my opinion. Some guys SHOUld get in on name alone. Jeter is really an all star either. If the guys not that good...nobody else will vote fo...

Hawai'i to waive Vanega
I don't know if the MBWBA has handled this issue consistently since I've been here. But I haven't been paying attention. For MLB (as Matt already said): The selecting team may, at any time, waive the rule 5 draftee, such as when they no longer wish to keep him on their major league roster. If a rul...

Hawai'i to waive Vanega
True, I get where you're coming from, but this is how we've handled it in the past. It is, actually, the same way it's done in MLB. The only difference would be exposing him to a league wide waiver claim first in which they'd have to keep him on the active roster for the rest of the season. underst...
