Re: That's What Cheesehad: 07.06 - Which Wolves Will Win Sil
I would vote for Puckett but that's just me. If you go by the newer stats like WAR and VORP, Puckett is the choice. But considering Kengos is still going to bat around .320, hit around 43 homeruns, and could potentially drive in 170 RBI, that may be hard to ignore. Especially the RBI total. I know ...

Re: 2007, Sim #17 Chatter
Wolves go 8-1 that sim and all but wrap things up. Magic number at 2 and we play Phoenix the next two games. Madison wins one of those it is over. I think the run the Wolves have been on post All-Star break may rival the start Vegas had recently. July 17-8 August 23-5 September 16-2 ----------------...

That's What Cheesehad: 07.06 - Which Wolves Will Win Silk?
A s has been the case towards the end of each season in the Johnson League, the debate over who had the best offensive season continues on. And as has been the case in nearly each of the last 5 seasons, the debate has boiled down to which Madison Wolves player will win the coveted Sawyer Silk Award...

8-1. 5.5 game lead. Things looking normal now.
Of course, we'll have to play next 2 weeks without Puckett. Still hope for Phoenix.

Re: 2007 Missed Exports and Bad Stuff
Crap. I made a change and must have forgotten to export. Made sure I did this AM for ORB2 but thought I had earlier for here. Oh we'll. 8-1 record but will miss Puckett for 2 weeks.

That's What Cheesehead: 07.05 - Bounceback Year for Carroll
T he career of Roland Carroll has been a roller coaster filled with plenty of ups and downs. Carroll began his career in Calgary where he was a part of some pretty solid Marauders baseball teams. His early managers saw him for what he was and that was a true leadoff hitter and an outstanding center...

Yet the best rookie in the JL has only won one this season....jkloes1 wrote:after an 8-2 sim, the magic number is 21 for Greenville. Could this mark the end of Baltimore's reign?? Oh and Austin Greene recieved his fourth Rookie of the month award.

Wolves go 9-2 and now hold a 3 game lead on the division. We went 23-5 in August and are 40-13 since July 1. Unreal run. You keep that pace, I tip my cap. We are hoping to keep it interesting. Sent from my iPhone 4 using Tapatalk I also have the slightly more favorable schedule.... I only play 8 re...

Re: That's What Cheesehead - 07.04 - Bolt Having Career Year
It'll be interesting to see what happens to him in Free Agency if he decides not to hang it up. If nothing else, with the DH, he could be an excellent ticket draw for some low level team. I won't be re-signing him. He's wanting a 4 year deal right now worth about $11 million a season. Id love to se...

Re: That's What Cheesehead - 07.04 - Bolt Having Career Year
Unreal stats he's putting up. Even better than Merino (sp?) last season. Bolt could write a bestselling autobiography after he retires. Sent using tapatalk. Jacinton Merino, Jr put up insane stats last year as well. Especially considering how his ratings plummeted. But his stats weren't what Bolt's...

Re: That's What Cheesehead - 07.04 - Bolt Having Career Year
By VORP, this is the 10th best season of his career. Still, he's playing well above his current abilities and I think it's a great storyline. Yeah, his VORP and WAR are no where near his best seasons. But at 39, to be producing the number of HR and RBI he is, it's pretty amazing. Based on his ratin...

H e isn't the spry young buck he used to be. At the ripe old age of 39, Madison Wolves first baseman Bolt Vanderhugen is way closer to the end of his career opposed to the beginning. The MBWBA veteran of 19 years has not announced his plans for the future. Rumors are he contacted the Wolves front o...

.5 game back in the division. 6th best team in the Johnson League. Sheesh.
As consolation, I would possess the best record in the Frick League.

Winning a division is pride. I'd much rather win a division than be the #3 team in the playoffs. I'll trade all 10 of my division titles for more than 1 of the Titles I've won. Thats my point! you wouldnt have all those division championships in your signature! You would have just been another team...

In real life, I hate the DH. But in these leagues, I feel the AI doesn't sub properly nor use guys in the right spot or at the right time. I'd prefer DHs in all online leagues. How would implementation of the DH change any of those perceptions? Sent using tapatalk. Adding a DH eliminates that "when...

I'm sure all of those 9-7 NFL Teams recently that snuck in as Wild Cards and won the Super Bowl beg to differ. I'm sure the St. Louis Cardinals of 2011 are really upset that Milwaukee won the division y...
