Re: GM Change, Havana Sugar Kings
True, I guess the only benefit to holding it would be to meet the bare minimum of 15, but I plan to be way over that so I guess no point huh?RonCo wrote:You never lose PP. So there's no issue posting it now.

Re: GM Change, Havana Sugar Kings
Well I had the intro article all written up, and then was browsing through the instructions how to format the thread when I came across the piece of info that the PP cutoff is the Landis series. Because adding PP this season does me no good, I'm going to hang onto that one until later this week haha...

Re: GM Change, Havana Sugar Kings
This was probably one of the toughest decisions we've had. i can imagine, like I said I was legitimately worried. I hope to justify the choice, and also that brooksy sticks around and gets rewarded next opening. That makes two of us! Then I can put the beatdown on Havana every time we play. You bet...

Re: GM Change, Havana Sugar Kings
thanks guys, and I hope that brooks gets considered for the next opening as I was legitimately worried about him taking this one from me. Will have a welcoming announcement up shortly (probably after the next sim). That makes two of us! ;) Congrats on getting Havana and best of luck with the team. ...

Havana Sugar Kings Block
Everyone in the organization has a price (some higher than others), so feel free to browse the organization and let me know who catches your eye. NEEDS: Looking to beef up the farm system, it is rather bare right now (all positions welcome, although leaning more position players than pitching). Will...

Re: Draft Pick Trading
I know this is an overdone topic at this point (and I'm personally indifferent on the issue), but if we are looking to avoid mass sell-offs of picks we can look at something similar to what the NBA has. They have a rule that forbids trading first round picks in consecutive years, in part because an ...

Fair point on the knuckler, I'm just worried because in my time playing ootp (granted older versions), I never saw a knuckler work out.bschr682 wrote:Iron Knife is a knuckle baller. He only needs 2 pitches for the game to consider him a starter. He is a monster prospect.

I missed Wareham because he wasn't on the active starting lineup or DO. The sugar kings are actually looking good for future on the infield.felipe wrote:Reece wareham

Havana Sugar Kings- A mess with a bright future
History : Well the history of the Havana Sugar Kings has been fairly undistinguished going back to the Buffalo Bison days. Actually not sugarcoat things, it has been a steaming shit sandwich. Since their last playoff appearance 14 years ago, there have been more than 3x as many sub 70 win seasons (...

Lol this guy wins just for hating rbis and saves. Welcome dude! Another thing about me, I say what is on my mind and I'm not afraid to ruffle a few feathers in doing so. Sometimes gets me in trouble at work (the military isn't exactly big on that sort of thing, and the Pentagon REALLY isn't), but t...

Re: Brewster Baseball association relocating teams
you must have raided all of the golf courses and retirement communities to get a line for season tickets in Naples!!
(Full disclosure, my grandparents have spent winters in Naples for the last 30 years and I have visited them probably 12-15 of those years).

Welcoming the new guys is a great way to pad the ol' post numbers. Welcome. everyone has their tricks right? I hope I win the contest we have going for Havana (which judging by the looks of things, would be one of the rare wins Havana has had lately), and regardless look forward to interacting with...
