He Who Walks Behind The Rows. Vol 5. Ep. 3.

Corn.jpg The Des Moines Kernels are happy to announce that they have signed their number 1 draft pick, SP Steven Clayton . Clayton features a slider, curveball and cutter all of which project to be 9 or 10 grade pitches. Developing a 4th pitch would be icing on the cake, but right now, Clayton proj...

Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
For a while in grade school it was Moose.

I'm very sorry for what Archie and the gang put you through!

He Who Walks Behind The Rows. Vol 5 Ep. 2

Corn.jpg Pitching Woes That faint feeling of optimism that was in the air and brought out Des Moinians in increasing numbers to Edward Murphy Memorial Stadium has now been replaced with a strong feeling of “Hey, what’s on Netflix” Pitching was certainly not one of the Kernels areas of strength, but...

He Who Walks Behind the Rows - Vol 5 Ep 1

Corn.jpg He Who Walks Behind the Rows Vol 5 Ep 1 The Kernels are in their predictable location in the Heartland Division standings for this time of year, 10-21 and 7th place. For a brief period of April, it looked like this club would be competitive, even giving the Black Sox a split series. But mi...

He Who Walks Behind the Rows - HGH Watch

Hugh Mangrouthormone is one of those special players. This new series will be a review of his exploits at the plate for the 2046 season…cause let’s face it, ain’t shit happening in Des Moines and the fans need something to cheer about (other than the upcoming Canadian Tuxedo Night). In short, HGH’s ...

Karnes Out For Start of Season, De Young Makes Squad

In what will certainly be looked at as another blow for the struggling popcornmen, it was announced that SP Donger Karnes is out for at least 4 weeks with bone chips in his elbow. Depth in the starting rotation is problem for Des Moines, so this loss will be felt more acutely. Anthony DeYoung has ma...

Re: Who do you follow?

I was born the year before the Blue Jays came into the league and their rise from expansion team to World Series champs made every kid my age in the Toronto area lifelong fans. As a kid, you don't get that its amazing that in less than 10 years in the league, they were winning the pennant (and barel...

Re: OOTP/MLB The Show

My dream has always been a melding of the show and OOTP but I can't imagine the processing and memory needed to make that happen.

Looking forward to the next gen version coming out, but if the fielding is like MLB The Show 20, I'll be disappointed.
