The competitive balance picks for Cairo and Riyadh at the ends of rounds one and two are NOT in the draft.
What are "Competitive Balance" picks?

2048.4 Deep Fried Piranha Bites - Hey! Can you do me a Faber?

In some mind blowing new, Tripoli signed Patrick "Do Me A" Faber to a minor league contract! Faber, 27, is a catcher that most recently had a 5 year stint with the great Des Moines team of the BBA. He's coming off a season where someone agreed to let him accumulate 443 AB's while hitting .208 with a...

2048.3 Deep Fried Piranha Bites - Tripoli in 1st Place!

I don't know if anybody happened to notice down here in little 'ole UMBEBA, but the Tripoli Piranhas are in 1st place! Check the Standings ! Seriously, you should check it out. Our Starting Pitching has been a bit disturbing and my "Manager" seems to think a SP should go 4 innings...of course, our r...

Re: Thoughts On Player Options

In past versions the player almost always opted out (even if his talent level crashed). The players value(d) the option at the point of signing but they were never going to accept it, so the organization never had to worry about it from a financial standpoint. I imagine that has changed as the versi...

Re: Milestone Players Should Be in the Hall of Fame.

My favorite part of the original writeup is that WAR is meaningless once the players career is over. Now you didn't say that, so I stretched what you said to there. WAR is a tool to predict how a player will perform. After their career has ended, their career stands on the #'s they produced and mile...

2048.2 Dug Riddler Makes Initial Trade

Well, before Dug Riddler could even sit down in his office he noted that Pancho German was on Jerusalem's Trade Block. Dug remembered Pancho from his short stint with Boise back in '37-'38. So, Dug jumped on the bat phone https://thumbs.gfycat.com/ChubbyHeartyIrishterrier-max-1mb.gif and dialed up J...

Tripoli Away

I'm headed out of town Friday afternoon and won't return until Monday afternoon. It appears that the sims may fall in a manner that will allow me to export, but just in case. I do have the Tripoli lineups set for spring training.

Thank you and enjoy your weekend!

Re: Are you f'ing kidding me?!?!

I didn't see the play, but if it is ruled a swing, whether it hits him or not is not relevant. Whether a batter has swung or not swung in MLB or at any level of baseball could be debated to infinity. There's a definition in the rulebook; how that's interpreted in real time will always be subjective ...

To Tripoli:

Confirmed. Hard to resist good 'ole Pancho German who came up when I was at the helm of Boise. Thanks for the easy talks. Good to get trade #1 out of the way.

2048.1 Deep-Fried Piranha Bites - Riddler is Coming to Town

Picture this: Libya, Tripoli (or vice versa); haze (smoke, smog) hanging in the air; Podium setup outside the Piranhas baseball "stadium;" 2 reporters whispering to each other; 3 "fans" standing around a burning trash can passing around a bottle in a paper sack. The Owner of the Tripoli Pirahnas app...

Oh wow… I used to live in Mooresville, Indiana. And it ain’t that big a place. Major coincidence…

As they say, it’s a small world… but you wouldn’t want to have to paint it.
I live out in the country South of 144, just off Kitchen Rd, if you remember those areas. :)

So, I pop back in to see how things are rolling along (and to see if they could survive without me! :) ) and what do I see? Keith McBride of AHIBA3 and NABL fame has applied to the BBA. Wow....long time. Good dudes here Keith. I hope you enjoy the league!

Good luck Joe. Don't let these sharks steal Dennis French from you! :)

There's a lot of work to do with Boise, but there's also a lot available funds to do it with.

Jeff

Thanks to Recte and the GM's in the league. I wish you all well!

Re: Custom Ammys, 2039

You get 1 PP for each Custom Ammy you create. Commish looks at them and will turn them into the closest existing ammy creation. Commish reserves the right to nix any entry for any reason. Limit of 2 per GM per season. As of 2031, the Custom Ammys will be created as High School players ONLY, and they...
