Re: 2039, Landis Memorial Series Chatter

Like I said earlier, it's better to be lucky than good. We just happened to get healthy at the right time and the pitching staff came together at the most opportune time. Now I have to figure out how the hell we will get to the playoffs in 2040...

Tropical Tidbits: 39.06 - Mid-season Moves Paying Dividends

Late in the month of June, the Hurricanes sat just 4 games over .500 and out of the playoff picture. At the time, the rotation consisted of Zhi-xin Chien , Taisuke Suzuki , Juan Jose Fuentes , Raúl Gerela , and Kelile Chimanga . Victor Bautista was starting in left field and Juan Guerrero was splitt...

Re: 2039, Landis Memorial Series Chatter

I've got it set up how I want and have Emergency Starters set if there are injuries. And my lineups should be fine, barring multiple injuries at the same position.

LV and YS9 have the two highest win totals.....

...and 0 Landis Titles.
Two of the three highest win totals...

(I have to get this in before I'm stuck in a division with Rockville and New Orleans)

I’m intrigued. So what team post the first expansion we did which was the EBA dissolving one I think, has the best run differential?
DYK, the first year of post-EBA expansion was 2029?

Don't know about everyone else, but I believe Jacksonville is +1312 over those 11 years.

Re: Team of the 2030s

It was fun to talk about but ultimately it’s just one of those quirky baseball stats because of how we divide time into decades. If we rolled from 2025 to 2035 as a decade, the list would be different. Or 2028 to 2038, etc, etc. Except any decade breakdown between 2025-2045 would include Las Vegas ...

Re: 2039, Cartwright Cup/United Cup Games 5-7 Chatter

Better to be lucky than good! Congrats on another good season Aaron, not looking forward to having ROC + NO as division rivals. And, I was really hoping for YS from the Frick. If we lost to them, I could say we were due. If we beat them, I would have another ring to hold over Ron :) How about the tw...

We are (rightfully) a big underdog, but I will always pick Jacksonville in a playoff poll.

I'm trying to get Wagner's usage figured out so that he can hopefully be similar to Grady. A guy like that is so valuable.

Re: 2039, Doubleday Series Chatter

Well, the better team did not win this one, but that was good for us. Crawdads scored just 11 in the 5 game series and our pitchers were rolling. That is the first series we've won over a team not name Phoenix since the 2033 Landis....and Rockville has really had our number since Aaron's rebuild. Ho...

I would be shocked if 3 of these guys actually stay put. Likely, 4 of these guys (if not all 5) will opt-out and immediately ask for less money than they were already guaranteed.
I hope so!
Flores will be the one who actually makes a smart move.

Let me take another swing... Active - Gillstrom I just don't think he's played enough for one team. 61 WAR for Montreal.. I forget that he is considerably older than Noboru. I was thinking he started only a year or two before him and left a few years ago. Didn't remember that he debuted in 2026 (th...
