Re: 2040, Roster Expansion/Sim #23 Chatter
4-2, but New Orleans was on fire. Their schedule gets harder, mine easier. By my math, 71 runs in 6 games... We go 5-1 and don't gain ground on the division, but we are now tied with Calgary for the final playoff spot. Some random information: Bertram Hahn has now hit double-digit HR in each of the...

5th in the BBA in RD, Top 5 in R, HR, AVG, OBP, OPS, wOBA, 11th in RA, 10th in ZR, 2nd in both wSB and SBA. Yep, sounds like a non-playoff team...

Re: Las Vegas/California
This is officially weird now Look at the team before I made the all the trades and after. In my opinion ive lost a bit of offense but only at the 1b spot which can be fixed easy enough, gained on defense with Whanon out in left once he finishes learning it and massively gained in pitching. Mercado ...

Re: Atlantic City and Jacksonville Trade
Jacksonville Receives: CL José Souza (ML) - 100% salary retained SP Domenic Blondell (A) Atlantic City Receives: SP Augusto Morán (AAA) SP Henry Fudge (INT) Atlantic City agrees to the trade Jacksonville confirms. Probably making a mistake giving up Moran and Fudge both, but there isn't a lot out t...

Re: Who's the Leader in Leading Off? (Updated for 2040)
Is Ford being so far above expected a sign of him playing well, or a sign of him being lucky? I'd agree that Zuniga is probably scoring less than expected partly because of his lack of baserunning ability, but I think the main reason is that Noboru spent a lot of time in the #2 spot and he's been ju...

Re: 2040, Sim #20 Chatter
This is getting comical. 2-4 sim, positive RD. Has anyone ever been +100 RD and missed the playoffs? Last time it happened was in 2035 when Huntsville missed the playoffs with an 86-76 record and whopping run differential of +142 (second best in the Johnson). Coincidentally, that year was also an e...

So frustrating to be tied with Vegas for 4th in the entire BBA in RD, but be 9 games behind the Hustlers in the standings and completely out of the playoffs right now.

Top 5 in all the Brewster in RD, top in our division. So we're 4th in the division and 8th in the playoff race....seems about right. Here's hoping the record comes around and it isn't the RD that starts regressing.

That's never happened in the past. Guys in HS always came back the next year (except when that error caused some of them to be released to free agency in the offseason)

Re: The Rookie and the Hare (2.26.40)
I don't care about this deal one way or the other. However, I've made my feelings clear in the past and I DESPISE 100% salary retention deals. There should be some sort of cap on what can be retained. Ideally, I'd say that cap is 50%, but even as high as 70% is palatable to me.

Re: 2040, IFA/FA Sim #4 Chatter
I don't mean that I always make a profit, though I suppose I almost always do these days. What I mean is all I look at is revenue generation and converting it to budget. Well, until a very recent sim my budget was only about $120 million. My $20 million in cash keeps us able to spend to the cap, an...

Re: 2040, IFA/FA Sim #4 Chatter
Sometimes I forget how crappy our market really is. I don't think I could absorb $40 million in IFA costs, even in a Landis run (I think we had about a $25m profit this year)indiansfan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 1:38 pmIFA costs ended up being $42.5 million. Looks like this will be a break even season, profit will depend on playoffs.
