Re: 2058 Heartland Predictions
I would 1000% sign up for a wild card spot today. Not only because we got off to a terrible start but also we've been using excess budget and cash to the max. If we don't grab a bunch of that playoff money, we are going to have some big financial hurdles.

Re: 2058 Heartland Predictions
I have a huge chip on my shoulder from last post season. If we would have snuck past Long Beach( 29 man roster gate ?), I'm pretty positive my right handed groundball staff would have ate up the Rivera-less Bluebirds and went on to have a solid chance against Montreal in the Brewster. So yeah, last ...

What happened to the Callum Martin that pitched a gem against me in the 2054 playoffs for his BBA debut? One shoulder injury and he is done. Very sad

Re: 2058, Spring Training Sim #2 Chatter
My plan C mostly came together this sim, which is good. A few more pieces left, potentially. Simpson still has one decent season left in him. It was a little painful to let him go. One more season like he had last year and you could argue him going into the hall of fame in a River Monster cap. He'd...

If he has 10 control, that 5 stamina should play up to a 6 or 7. A lot of one pitch outs and double plays. The $45 million question is.. will that changeup develop?
I hope so. He has a chance to be a generational pitcher. And since he plays in the Johnson, I'm ok with that.

Bernie Stuart should have 50% retention from Jacksonville. Sorry for being a pain.

I was going to go after bin Majid al Din, but you snagged him before I even made an offer. Ended up getting the guy he is replacing in Dan Small.

Thought for sure Korbel was coming back with you loading up on groundball pitchers. I guess it's still a possibility.

Re: 2058 Schedule Comments/Feedback
Looks great to me. Fairly even home/road distribution and love the divisional games last two months. My only complaint is beyond your control. On July 18th, we play an 8:10 game in Minnesota. Then July 19th we play a 3:10 am game in Bikini Atoll. So in a matter of 7 hours we are supposed to play a 9...

Re: 58.007– Collins Talks Falchonelli Signing
I really enjoyed Falcho during his tenure. He found a niche as a short side platoon RF, defensive replacement and CF against low movement pitchers. I'm not sure he is going to hold up as a 38 year old fragile everyday player though. I think ideally less is more with him.

Re: WHIV 2058.4- We're Bringing Buckson Back.......Yeah!
I was super close to resigning him. Had him agree in principle to a deal that would have paid him $500 k for the next two years and then a million or two for two years and then two team options. Very similar to the contract Rubio signed. I guess he smartened up. Good for him. Glad he is back with Ve...

Re: 58.07 Blazers Revamp Bullpen
Rivera is a great signing for non baseball reasons. $1.8 million for an extremely popular player is about as cheap of a FI increase as you can get. Personally I would have tried to get him for one year and then immediately resign him to a one year extension to get a double FI bump. He's also a "Wrec...

Re: Should Jay Hodge Be Converted?
I think once your velo drops, it just keeps dropping. So he may be useful for like a month and then revert back to being a turd again. But if you play Long Beach in April, by all means make it happen.
