Re: The Trade Market: June 2041

Analyzing potential trade partners is a skill I need to develop... Instead of just updating the block and hoping someone bites. I was surprised no one was interested in San Duk Sim last season and really no one is interested in Parker Davenport this season. Maybe there's plenty of above average defe...

Re: OOTP 20 Hotfix Update (Version 20.8.74) Released!

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/showthread.php?t=309670 Hi! We have fixed an issue with inaccurate OSA scouting reports, so here is a quick hotfix patch, version 20.8.74. Note: This version is NOT compatible with previous builds in online leagues. All online league members need to upgrade to th...

41.07 TWC - Rookies Power River Monsters to 16-10 May

After a miserable April that left Twin Cities in last place in the Heartland. The team showed signs of life in May, winning 16 games and losing 10. More importantly, the young players brought up this season are powering the team to the strong show this month. MAY ROOKIE STATS https://statspl.us/brew...

Re: 41.06 TWC Undrafted 23 Year Old Pitcher Grinding his way to the BBA

Im kind of hoping he’ll keep bumping... though it’s pretty cool to see how much he’s improved. Might make a #4/#5 starter. Which is great for a undrafted free agent. Might take the sting off Yellow Springs getting a couple 75+ rated guys in random international finds several seasons back... Could ne...

Re: Best Pitch to Add for a SP Conversion... (Asking for a friend)

Did you play professionally? 1 year at SDSU... flamed out Catcher Ability - good enough Arm - 1....lol, never could make that throw to 2B reliably. Also played outfield... decent range, terrible arm And San Diego was a bit of a culture shock for a Colorado kid... Wasn’t my best moment. Played a ton...

Re: Best Pitch to Add for a SP Conversion... (Asking for a friend)

I've read a ton about pitch types in OOTP and there's one consistent theme.... Everyone has different opinions on the best pitches. Read three separate articles and you'll get three separate opinions. Which is great in reality. It would suck if the game was so black/white that certain pitches were ...

Re: Best Pitch to Add for a SP Conversion... (Asking for a friend)

Well... I was wondering more than just about the best pitch for a conversion. But the best pitches in general and why. Does the game engine make it harder on hitters if pitches are different in velocity and movement? Or does the pitch ratings trump everything? Lol... sounds like a fun idea for a res...

Re: UMEBA Realignment

I just want to poke my head in and say that I am enjoying the hell out of the current state of the UMEBA. Seeing the "not interested" message from free agents, to me, creates the world that we are playing in... and ultimately creates a "well, screw you then," attitude and a sense of pride for the g...

41.05 TWC - "Don't Suck Completely" - Owner Robin Wells

It's safe to say that Twin Cities Owner, Robin Wells, isn't on board with or doesn't understand GM Scott Piccoli's current rebuilding plan. Obviously, not happy with the Team's direction, it's said that Wells' yearly memo to the GM could be basically summed up in two lines. "I'm pissed off" "Try not...

Re: Over-All Rating Bump?

Hmm... Maybe. Would that explain the prospects in the middle to lower minors getting bumps? I guess it would since they're being evaluated on the over-all talent on the active rosters. So that makes sense

I just don't remember seeing this before... not to this extent anyway.

Over-All Rating Bump?

Has anyone else noticed a significant Overall Ratings bump this off-season (both actual & potential in their players without any changes to their skill ratings? I have several players, prospects mostly, that have seen around 10 point jumps. I've browsed a couple of other teams and saw similar bumps....

41.04 TWC - Rule 5 brings two raw Utility IF prospects to the Twin Cities

Twin Cities has never really dipped much in the Draft 5 Pool under GM Scott Piccoli... However, with the current rebuilding, any chance to acquire talent whether they're ready for BBA or not seem like too good a chance to pass up. https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/news/html/images/person_pictures/...
