Re: Slugger Shavings 2058.2 - Checking in with Amphibian

You need to lock him up. If he hits free agency at 24, someone is going to give him $20+ million a season for 6 years.

Both Fred and Alan have basically said "I'm good with whatever."
I didn't realize this was an official "have to vote poll". But what Ron said is exactly my opinion. Except if I happen to win the Brewster this year. I might walk it off with bookend Brewsters like I've been trying to do forever.

Re: v25 Conversion Poll

I feel like the recruiting aspect is a double edged sword. We often lose a few good GM's when we convert because it's a nice breaking point for those on the fence about leaving. I know I ask myself every purchase, "Do I really want to commit to another year of this time sucking hobby?". Of course th...

Why not? Happens in real life.
It does. Do you know if you can you get around if by setting a player's amount of days off?
It would be kind of fun if we all benched our all star pitchers and the game pitched position player instead.

Re: v24 > v25 Import Statement from OOTP

I remember back in the day OOTP, you'd load up the new version and have a completely different team. A 70 potential player may change to 45 out of nowhere. Hopefully this isn't as drastic.

Actually, I hope it is. My farm system sucks and has no place to go but up

Re: San Antonio/Sacramento

Louisville also, where Baldez spent the bulk of his career, is fully turned up for lefty power hitters. He's probably just barely 7 movement. If 6ish movement is going to work... It's going to be in Sacramento. Another added bonus is that the last portion of the season is all divisional games. I bel...

I feel stupid, I never said Unem Ploid out loud before. Thought it was just some weird generated name and just called him Ploid.

Re: 2058 Frick League All-Stars

Can't wait till Bernie Stuart pitches games 1,4 and 7 against Nashville in playoffs. He'll be nice and rested having spent 3 days with his family in July. SP Semih Gurânî (HAW) - 6-3, 2.25 ERA, 76.0 IP, 0.96 WHIP, 6.8 K/9, 1.8 WAR SP Adam Hines (VAL) - 5-5, 3.14 ERA, 100.1 IP, 1.03 WHIP, 8.7 K/9, 2....

That Eckhoff trade looks great. I like Fox too, but trading a RP for a Nebraska candidate is a win.

Re: Tropics News 2058.13

Semih Gurânî has given up just 4 hits in his last 3 starts. He is the best injury prone, low stamina starter in the league. Sorry Dave Molina. Now if Hawaii would stop giving him extensions so he can play in the TWC, that would be great.

Re: 58.024 – Krill “Rotation By Committee” Seems Effective

I used to do to this a lot. The stupid Manfrid rule about only being able to option players 3 times in a season killed it for me. I would find niche AAA players that would match up well against specific teams. Like if I did it now I would find a 15/2/8 pitcher that I would call up everytime I played...

Phoenix all the way. And by all the way I mean all the way to game 161 before falling short of the playoffs like they do every year.

Re: 2058 Heartland Predictions

I would 1000% sign up for a wild card spot today. Not only because we got off to a terrible start but also we've been using excess budget and cash to the max. If we don't grab a bunch of that playoff money, we are going to have some big financial hurdles.

Re: 2058 Heartland Predictions

I have a huge chip on my shoulder from last post season. If we would have snuck past Long Beach( 29 man roster gate ?), I'm pretty positive my right handed groundball staff would have ate up the Rivera-less Bluebirds and went on to have a solid chance against Montreal in the Brewster. So yeah, last ...

What happened to the Callum Martin that pitched a gem against me in the 2054 playoffs for his BBA debut? One shoulder injury and he is done. Very sad
