Re: Whats Brewing Unchained. A new podcast.

For one, Neil knows his way around BBA more than most newcomers, and secondly I expressed interest in Haney and this is the deal he proposed to me after a few days of supposedly shopping him around. And it's a massive lowball. There are no rules against taking advantage of when a new GM misjudges t...

Re: Whats Brewing Unchained. A new podcast.

I'd hope all incoming GMs due a little homework before making any moves. I wouldn't expect anyone to do anything drastically misguided, nor would I expect any GMs to take advantage of newbies. :crazylaugh: Since I was “one of six teams” in the mix I have no problem with what was offered to me. Plus...

Re: 2044 BBA Trade Value Series: #20-#1

Bump Nothing quite as satisfying as having the team you wanted to get but didn't because their absentee GM surfaced a minimal number of times then trade a player that the previous GM had more or less agreed to a deal with you for, but then didn't show up for weeks, later be run by another GM who tr...

Re: Question for Anyone who Knows the Answer

I think it depends if the waivers were revocable or irrevocable? What if I've made a trade? Let's assume they were all irrevocable. Due to the artificial nature of the sim schedule, from a timing standpoint, the waiver withdrawn and claim were made at the same time. As was any trade. So which gets ...

Question for Anyone who Knows the Answer

If I put a player on waivers last sim, and I take him off with this current export for the Thurs sim, what happens if someone submits claims him on the same export for the Thurs sim?

Re: OFFICIAL 2045 HALL OF FAME BALLOT

niles08 usnspecialist Niles, thanks for the response. I think I remember you saying you were a small hall guy. I'm just curious about the way people think about voting. It's interesting to me. Debating I feel is the best way for me to refine my thinking process and learn I might have been wrong abo...

This used to be a problem when we couldn't trade draft picks for a certain amount of time. We lifted that a while back.
I knew you guys had lifted that. I just didn't know if I could draft for other people, or could negotiate until after a pick signed.

Re: 2045 Heartland Division Heat Check

I'm hoping the fact that there are only 3 teams ahead of me here in both pitching and defense means that I can finish 4th in the Heartland, which will hopefully get me into the playoffs. My pitching is very very thin, and yeah, I lack top starters. I think I have 8th overall pick. Someone save me an...

Re: OFFICIAL 2045 HALL OF FAME BALLOT

Wow, I voted for 6 people. A bit surprising. 3 new guys, and 3 holdovers who had my vote in past years. I'm curious as the your thinking about voting for six people. If it surprised you because you are a small hall guy, that's fair. If it's surprising because it seems like a lot on one ballot, well...

Re: The BBA Today #68 - The Trade Market is A Blazing Inferno

I'm on board with I like the IFA class more like this but could use a couple more studs. Maybe a 70-80 or 2, another 2-3 55-65, then as many of anything 50 down as we add. Also, they do need to fix the IFA financials. Demands need to adjust to down to get signed. Also need to adjust to league spend...

Re: Hall of Fame Candidate Thread: Lawrence Columbus LaLoosh

I started looking at reports, but remembered we have the Unified History sheet. Soooo good. By my count, I see 17 players with at least 3 Nebraska's in the history of the league. The only 3 not in the HOF are Dempster, Cannon, and LaLoosh. Dempster is a lock and Cannon will be in this year. That wo...
