Going to Step Down

Greetings Brewsterverse, It has been a lovely month and I am humbled by the depth and energy of this league. Bittersweetly, some exciting professional opportunities have curtailed my OOTP time, and I need to adjust my schedule accordingly. You all have a wonderful community here, and I appreciate yo...

Re: Does anything matter anymore? (2049-23)

A cutting blow to the team and horrible luck for a fine young pitcher.

2049.07: The Weekly Spearhead

THE WEEKLY SPEARHEAD Fortunes Change--Some June 2nd, Bucharest, Romania Far from where we'd like, we can at least take some comfort that May was far better than April for the Romanian squad, dropping just four in the final two weeks and cruising ahead to share the Division lead with Mumbai. SPs Nei...

"propane-sniffing donkey-breeder" has the air of Shakespeare to it. You know your Shakespeare don’t you ? I believe it was Lady Macbeth’s final words to her husband before sticking the knife in literally Oh light! Please take me! I deserve to die! Now take me light! Now cover my darkness! Oh woe is...

A little wait nets you the premier franchise in the UMEBA. Congrats!
Sure, it's a great and storied franchise. But can it offer the cold, North-Korea-In-Eastern-Europe vibe proffered by Bucharest? I think not.

Re: Catching, Crawdads?

New Orleans missed 2 exports after their lone catcher on the roster was injured. They started a 2B for 4 games behind the plate (7 passed balls) A CF started 3 games (4 passed balls) A SS for 1 game (1 passed ball) And a 1B took some shots back there (1 passed ball) That'll help ya lead the league ...

Quite the late April for Athens. Good stuff from Liam Johnston on May 4th to earn the combined shutout.

THE WEEKLY SPEARHEAD Grave New World: Lifeless Impalers Seem Here to Stay May 5th, 2049 Bucharest, Romania Aldous Huxley once said "the only truly consistent people are dead." I live about a 1/4 mile from there. On the mountain near the shrine.
Truly, of all the cities I've lived, one I've enjoyed just about the most. Great mountain biking, great running trails, and one of the finest AAA Stadiums out there.

Re: Poblanotes 49.3- Pete Brace Writes Home

El Paso isn't much of a garden, but it's a wonderful city, with a properly acquired taste. I recommend Pete Brace spends his early mornings running McKelligan Canyon to clear his head, or maybe a dinner at Cattleman's. It's a far shot from the balmy banks of the St. Lawrence River, but I'm confident...

I really enjoyed this, and I think it's an excellent setup for a guru montage! It reminds me of this book, which I have seen but not read.

Also, this is my first visit to the Player Spotlights board. What an awesome idea.
