So... where is French going to play? You're not actually considering letting that man play the outfield on defense, are you?

Good luck. Hope I left you with something decent to work with. By the way, I did upgrade the seating to 45k at some point. But you're forgiven for not checking the Stadium Dues sheet.

Congrats Dave and well deserved.

And your championship also means Boise was basically the 2nd best team in the entire BBA this year, just didn't get a chance to advance.

Re: Tater Talk (2054.04): Spuds Have Been Using “Openers” All Year: A Breakdown

why doesn't opener and daily lineup work? Because Daily Lineups doesn't listen to Opener/Follower rules. The pitcher you insert into your daily lineups will be treated as a SP no matter what. So, even if you put a reliever in to start the game, the game will push him for 4-5 innings if it can, and ...

Tater Talk (2054.05): Boise clinches Wildcard berth

https://i.imgur.com/Oql5w2R.jpg With Boise’s 9-1 win against Calgary on Monday, the Spuds officially clinched a Wildcard berth, meaning they’ll be in the postseason for the first time since 2045. Boise was tied in the standings with Las Vegas just four days earlier, fighting for the last playoff sp...

Re: Tater Talk (2054.04): Spuds Have Been Using “Openers” All Year: A Breakdown

Good write-up. I don't mind too much the idea of openers/followers in principle. For me though it's difficult to execute in OOTP because I like to utilize Daily Lineups. Yeah, this was a problem for me as well, Openers and Daily Lineups absolutely don't work with each other. Hopefully this is somet...

Tater Talk (2054.04): Spuds Have Been Using “Openers” All Year: A Breakdown

https://i.imgur.com/Oql5w2R.jpg In early spring, Spuds’ management was trying to sort out their strategy for the upcoming year. They were coming off a 96-loss season, had made some changes to the roster, but still weren’t exactly sure what they had, or whether they had any shot at contention. Looki...

Heh, never realized you can view the results of the voting. To whoever voted for the .237/.333/.338 hitting Virginia Rain to start at 3B in the all-star game, thank you.
Oh, yeah, that was me. I felt bad for making him spend an entire season in AAA for me a few years ago.

I'm impressed that so many people are voting for Adrián Fox, despite his inflated ERA and lack of saves. He's an innings machine and the MVP of the Spuds' pitching staff.

Re: Rolling Picks

It's a perfectly valid strategy. I view it not so much as a financial thing, but more about getting top value for your picks. If your turn comes up and the top guys on the board are not really want you want, or at positions you don't need, then roll it. It helps that you can view future years' draft...

Re: 2054 Boise Spuds Preview

That trade for Logan Hill from Vancouver before the 2053 season is really interesting. They must really believe in the prospect they got back. Hill has been great in the high minors. There's more to the story than that. Boise picked Hill in the Rule 5 draft, then sent Vancouver a fringe prospect in...
