Re: 2043, Sim #24 Chatter

John McClain, who had a terrific season in AA, gets a September call-up and notches his first major league win with 5 innings of scoreless (but a bit wobbly) ball. So that was fun, unlike Yellow Springs making a mockery of the division race ... Yippee Ki-yay Motherf@*&%$ Gawdammit, you beat me to it.

I don't know what to think of my team. I've been playing better recently, definitely better than last season, but playoffs are still out of reach.

Rumour has it that McFadden walked away after only two rounds of negotiation. The Kernels and McFadden were rumoured to be only a couple of million dollars apart. Asked about ...

He Who Walks Behind the Rows. The Legend of Donger Karnes

Corn.jpg Fresh off learning that their power hitting OF Yokoyama has Yakuza ties, the Kernels had another surprise in store for them. Upon hearing the commotion in the locker room about Nori Knuckles and his adolescent debt collection skills, SP Timmy Karnes came running out of the shower sans towe...

He Who Walks Behind the Rows. Vol. 2 Ep 1

Corn.jpg The month of May was a true shit sandwich for the Des Moines Kernels. There was tasty bread on both sides but thick doo-doo making up the middle. The Cornmen starting the month off 4-3 and ended on a 4 game winning streak, but that couldn’t make up for the 10-game losing streak that tool t...

He Who Walks Behind the Rows. The Legend of Nori Knuckles

Corn.jpg April finally returns to Iowa and the last grip of winter has receded from the farmer’s fields. Soon these fields will be showing signs of life, life that will grow past 6 feet in long, neat rows hugging what little topography can be found here. What will be hidden by those rows is what ke...
