California in California

My oldest son has a crush on Padme. We're taking him to Disneyland to meet her and get his heart crushed to fulfill his manly destiny.

I'll likely miss the sims on Thursday, Jan 23, and Sunday, Jan 26

Re: 4th Place Surprises?

I went Chicago also... only because, as an avid reader of Vic's team news, it's hard to fathom them winning. It goes against everything I read.

Re: Best Pitch to Add for a SP Conversion... (Asking for a friend)

I'm going to go full Ron on this one, but I think the answer is, it depends. I think it all comes down to what two pitches the guy already has. That third pitch needs to compliment the other two. It's that compliment that varies depending on what you're looking for.

He looks a little older than 16 ... more like 26 ... or, with that ‘stache, 36. Are you sure he’s not a UMEBA cast-off? Potential fraud case brewing here ...
Yeah, this whole thing smells like potatoes.

41.14 Lacy Fan Letter

Dear Mr. Joe Lacy , You are my favorite player. Ever since you were drafted by the Crusaders in 2039, my dad and I followed your journey through the minor leagues. We were both so pumped when you totally kicked butt in your first week with the big club. I can't believe you hit three home runs alread...

Re: A Flock of Bluebirds 2041.7- April in Review

I would have preferred to keep both Hernandez and Alberink in the California organization, but the old option-years monster got me...

I wish them well (outside of when they're playing Cali..)

Re: King of the Whiff?

Scissors Thundercrotch sounds like a lesbian professional wrestler name, or, at the very least, it’s a great roller derby name.

Clearly this feature has indicated to me that we need a:

Stone Thundercrotch
Pebble Thundercrotch
Gravel Thurndercroth

As created players just so we can keep using the name.
I was thinking more on the following lines:

Paper Thundercrotch
Scissors Thundercrotch

Re: 9-News: 41.019 – Draft Report: Early Rounds

You can take it as a feather in your cap, but, since I had most of these guys very high on my board when they were selected, I feel good about how I'm valuing players.

The left-hand-hitting backstop out of Salt Lake City, profiles decent bat skills and above average defensive abilities, but it was his demeanor in the clubhouse and d...

41.11 Lacy Promoted

"I'm so damn tired of those idiot, polo-shirt, khaki-pants-wearing nerds down at the OSA offices, with their overpriced, soccer-mom coffee and their stupid spreadsheets, telling the world Joe Lacy won't amount to anything in the BBA," General Manager Shoeless said into his cellphone. "Fuck those guy...
