Re: 2036, Sim #21 Chatter

This down to the wire stuff is not good for my heart! I smell a first round exit at this pace. Such a strange month.

Re: Minor League Systems

It’s ALL about stats here. If you’re a 23-year-old prospect with good ratings but your ERA is 6.84 in AA, you’re not getting moved up. I have never ever had a guy who was awful in the minors get called up and start tearing it up.

Re: Five years of the Draft (2031-2035)

This was an article that impressed me while at the same time filled me with malaise. I feel like Icarus in Montreal. I’m not used to early managerial success so my tactics of building sustainable ball has not been implemented. I know that there is a right way to do work with this kind of club but I’...

Re: The Frick League by Base Runs

YS stats here is interesting in a way. Is it good that the predictor is right on and your squad is performing as it should or would you like to see a bump in the differential? Seeing as your record is pretty decent, I’d be happy with the result.

Re: 2036, Sim #18 Chatter

Montreal lost a game! Unacceptable.

I hate when pitchers as amazing as Troop end up with records like he has. I know wins and losses mean little in this day and age, but 9-7 is so blasé to me. I hope he goes on a tear and finishes with 14 wins, but he’ll need the help that he’s desperately lacking.

Re: The Katzenbogen Case Study

HOT TAKE: catching is the only position worth sacrificing a bat for if the D is otherworldly. Great piece. Love accessible analytics. I don't think it's that hot. I'd think most agree. Only exception maybe an elite hitting C, but I definitely would rather have someone who can handle a staff. I was ...

I’m surprised Montreal turned it around after the early struggles.

FTP Connection issue

“Could not open a connection to the FTP server” whenever I try to download. Sorry for the last minute issue, I should be ok with my last export as there were no injuries. Any suggestions?

Xavier Rangel: Clear Vision for Success

Oshawa, Wisc. - Exotropia is something a lot of teens that have it are embarrassed of, but Xavier Rangel has never been a typical teenager. “Having a lazy eye made me self-conscious when I was young,” the 18-year-old first round choice of the Blaze says. “But in the end, it was kind of a blessing be...

Montreal Trade Blazock

Coming into Montreal with solidified stars like Monseiur LaFitte and the great young Juan Santana make my job easier but I do have some players that I would like to unload. The Good C Jake Blues - Besides having one of the coolest names in the league, this past Champ is ready to be your everyday cat...

One-on-One with the Montreal Gaffer

Montreal - Gary Bartle was not a household name before last week. He will not reach that status outside of Montreal for awhile, but mentions of the American has been lighting up the virtual airwaves north of the border. He sat down with the Gazette to answer a list of questions culled from your Twi...

Re: The OOTP Coaching Crap Shoot

Coaches and managers in real life make such an impact, I wish that translated well into OOTP. But then, on the other hand, I like controlling the number of pitches my fourth starter in A ball is allowed to throw, so what’s the point anyway? The only thing I look for in managers is tendencies similar...

Blazers Profile vol. 1: Luis Flores

Miami - Rubbing his necklace between his long forefinger and thumb, Luis Flores thanks the waiter in Spanish and takes a long sip of his coffee. He makes a face. “Too weak... like my fastball,” he smiles and stirs the coffee as if a whirl or two will make it tastier. “I picked it up from my father....

As much as I want to join the league, this applicant looks to be tailor-made for the high standards BBA sets. Wow.
