Crusaders Survive Spring Training, Ready for Opening Day!
March 31, 2035
Offen Sichtlich der Kunstgriff

Whew! Glad that's over. We more or less made it folks! Bryan Robson will start the season on the seven day DL, as he's having some elbow pain in his throwing arm. I heard it was bothering him earlier in spring training, but the team kept playing him. That seems silly. You think they'd know better than to risk turning a minor injury into a chronic one with overuse. Hmmm. Maybe he didn't tell them? I hope this isn't a mistake by our manager. Mr. Franco is usually waaaay to smart to risk injury in games that don't matter. OH wow, look at this! It's a directive from Mr. Schmidt to Mr. Franco to bench players with mild injuries until they are fully evaluated by the training staff. Well, Does'n that just seem like common sense? Why haven't we been doing this? I guess you have to spell things out sometimes.

Mark Stuart also will start the season on the DL with a herniated disk in his back. He'll miss 1-2 weeks. I guess that's okay. Not for him, I mean. He's probably not really happy. But the Crusaders have other options for a right handed DH. Namely his friend Cris Vazquez! This will probably be fine. Wow! Stuart is 39 years old. That makes me feel old! I remember when he and Vazquez lead the baby Crusaders to a Landis title! That was such a great summer!

Well Crusaders fans, let's get ready for another great year! I think this one will be special. I can feel it. I feel something anyway. It might be my lunch. Mama made Speck today. Perhaps I should gave had more bread with it. Hmm, now that I think of it, Mama didn't eat any. Well, still .. I think, with my mind, not this feeling in my stomach that is decidedly becoming more obviously related to lunch, that the Crusaders are about to have a special year. I have to go now.
