Arm of the sim goes to starting pitcher
Mike Davis. Mike made 2 starts. He did not get a decision in either start, pitching a total of 13.1 innings, giving up 12 hits, 2 earned runs, striking out 17, and ERA 1.35. In both of Mike starts, he was named player of the game. The games were against Louisville Sluggers and Edmonton Jackrabbits. In Mike’s first outing against the Sluggers he went 6.1 innings, giving up 7 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and striking out 9. Going into the bottom of the ninth the Kernels had the game well in control. Two easy missed ground balls, tuning in to errors, allowed the Sluggers to rally for 3 runs and they ended up winning 4 -3. Mike’s second start had a similar outcome, going 7 innings allowing 2 earned runs, 1 walk and striking out 8. Manger, Josh McConnell, said “we had three opportunities to win this game in the 11th, 12th and 13th each time we had a runner on third all we needed was a timely hit but instead we flied out or grounded out.
Hammer of the Sim

Catcher,
Cisco Arreola, is the hammer of the sim. Cisco started in 8 games with 30 at bats, going 9 for 30, with, 4 home runs, and 4 RBI’s with a .300 batting average.
News and notes:
In the second sim of 2030 season the Kernels went 1 – 9, winning only 1 game against division rival Louisville and being swept by Edmonton.
