Batter of the Sim:
Dani Lopez
.455 avg in 22 AB's with 3 homeruns and 10 RBI. Not a lot has been said about Lopez. Hasn't been having a tremendous year but he has been quietly solid. Hopefully this is the start of a nice hot streak as we roll through the final stretch of the season.

Starting Pitcher of the Sim:
Pablo Figueroa
1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 6.1 IP with 6 K's to go against 2 walks. Figueroa had a quietly effective rookie season last year. This year he has built on that both in performance and some potential ratings growth. With the potential departure of 4 of the current 5 starters this year, Figueroa will be counted on for many seasons to come.

Relief Pitcher of the Sim:
Will Franklin
0-0 and 1 saves with a 1.50 ERA in 6.0 IP over 4 games with 3 K's to go against 1 walk. Franklin has been tremendous in his career so far with the Mounties. Definitely a proven high leverage inning eater and those are very, very necessary to have.

Sim Recap:
4-3 sim as the team slipped up a bit. We took 3 of 4 from Twin Cities to keep the tremendous month going. Unfortunately we slipped a bit losing 2 of 3 to Cali in our current series. The offense slowed way down and the pitching got roughed up a bit which honestly was bound to happen. Things had been going far too well.

Roster expansion is here and as usual not too many moves will be made. The idea of going to a 6 man rotation to save some bullets from the starters has been bandied about but nothing has been decided to this point. Perhaps one of the many young relievers in the pipeline will be brought up to soak some innings and perhaps a bench bat but that's about it. The backups will play a bit more but for the most part it will be business as usual.

A Look Ahead:
1 more game with Cali (lets force a series tie boys) and then cratering Atlantic City followed by Madison. I smell more wins...
