Hawaii Out of Time, Out of Playoffs: It certainly could have been worse this year for the Hawaii Tropics, but that does not mean it was a season to remember. The team was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today.

Hawaii last appeared in the postseason in 2027. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 27 times in their 37-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Tropics have missed the playoffs 6 times. Hawaii last won the Landis Memorial Series in 2025.

Kernels Out of Time, Out of Playoffs: Any faint hope of playoff contention the Des Moines Kernels might have had is now a thing of the past -- the Kernels was mathematically eliminated from postseason consideration today.

The Kernels have missed the playoffs 30 times in their 37 years as a Brewster Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 24th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2008. Des Moines has won the Landis Memorial Series 2 times in their history.

Kraken Out of Time, Out of Playoffs: The Carolina Kraken have now been officially eliminated from playoff contention.

The Kraken have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 37 years as a Brewster Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2027. In the last 10 seasons, the Kraken have missed the playoffs 6 times. Carolina last won the Landis Memorial Series in 2020.

Huntsville Eliminated from Playoff Contention: Those hoping to see the Huntsville Phantoms in the playoffs this year will be disappointed. The club was officially eliminated from postseason contention today.

Before this season, the Phantoms last missed the playoffs in 2027. In the 37 years they have been a Brewster Baseball Association franchise, they have missed the playoffs 20 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 2 times. Huntsville last won the Landis Memorial Series in 2028.

Havana Out of Time, Out of Playoffs: Even the most die-hard fans of the Havana Sugar Kings will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

"We're disappointed," said Sugar Kings catcher Shoin Tanaka. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year."

This is the club's 15th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2017. In total, the Sugar Kings have missed the playoffs 30 times in their 37-year history.

Wolves Clinch Playoff Spot With Victory
Today, Madison have officially claimed a spot in this year's postseason. The team punched their playoff ticket with a win yesterday. "I couldn't be prouder of this team," said skipper, Millard Davis. "These guys worked their tails off all season long, so they've definitely earned this." However, the Wolves manager says he won't let his team rest on their laurels. "We've still got a long way to go to reach our ultimate goal and that's a championship trophy. So we're gonna celebrate and just let this all sink in tonight, but it's back to work tomorrow."

San Antonio Clinches Playoff Spot Despite Loss
The San Antonio may have lost the battle at the ballpark today, but they won a big part of the war: they clinched a spot in the playoffs.

"It's certainly not how you picture it when you're a kid," said manager Francisco Hernández today after his San Antonio Outlaws clinched, despite his squad's loss to the Calgary.

"It was a little weird at first, kind of celebrating, kind of ... I don't know ..." Hernández trailed off musing the situation while in the clubhouse after the game. "But despite what happened today, we are a winning team and we earned this. It's not about what happened today, it's about how well this team has played all season long. The guys have fought hard all year long, and they really deserve the spot in the postseason. So yeah, we're definitely celebrating tonight."

If the fans felt any qualms about the circumstances, they sure didn't show it. San Antonio Outlaws faithful by the thousands hung around outside the stadium long after the game, cheering and celebrating into the night.

Playoff Bound: Charm City Secures Wild Card
Charm City Jimmies fans had reason to rejoice tonight, as the team is heading to the Brewster Baseball Association playoffs.

With a record of 89-62, Charm City is guaranteed a spot in the postseason, although it remains to be officially decided whether or not that's as Johnson League Atlantic Division champions or in a wild card position.

"We have fantastic fans and it feels good to give them something to cheer about," said starting pitcher Egbert Behner. "Hopefully there's a lot more celebrating to come."

Yet another .500 sim. I don't see why this team can't win a wild card next year with some good luck.

After dropping four straight, the Rabbits have finally crossed the 100-loss threshold, and will almost certainly finish with the worst record in the BBA, barring a successful performance in the next seven games against Vancouver and an outright surrender by the Halifax Hawks in the Atlantic Division.

The 2032 Jackrabbits are now the worst team in franchise history by a margin of four games over the inaugural 97-loss 2029 Jackrabbits squad.

On the bright side, we'll have a number-one draft pick and a decent number of top prospects to help this team out moving forward. If nothing else, the 2033 Rabbits will HAVE to be an improvement.

Playoff appearance by expansion the teams:

The other 3 = 0

Wow. We needed that shutout by Stewart.

The bullpen turned a possible 4-2 sim into 3-3 with another blown save.

If the starters don't get the job done, it's a crap shoot.

I don't understand what happened to some of the relievers that were pretty good. I can understand some having a bad year, but they all suck this year.

2-4 on the road against Vegas and Montreal isn't atrocious. Will be interesting to see what I can do against Halifax and Carolina to finish the season. 5-3 (very doable) keeps me under 90 losses for the year, which is beyond what I hoped for.

Luis Sotos return is uncertain now. I knew it would happen.

Two very tough losses really hurt. Bullpen gives up 5 runs in the ninth to Omaha, then we lose 1-0 on an unearned run...Jose Chavez missing out on another win in a brilliant performance.

The winds are not blowing our way this year. :)

8 games vs. Vegas to end the year. -_-

Nice to get 6 in a row to give me a little bit of a cushion. Anything worse than a split probably loses me the division.
